Southfield issues boil water advisory

Southfield has issued a boil water advisory Thursday as the city works to repair a water main break behind McDonnell Towers at Telegraph Road and Civic Center Drive, officials said.

The advisory is in place “until further notice,” according to a statement from the city.

As crews work to repair the water main break, residents might also experience low water pressure, no water or discoloration, according to the statement.

“(Crews) are now working to resolve the issue as soon as possible,” Michael Manion, community relations manager for the city, said in the statement.
