Michigan's Jolly Pumpkin will expand outside the state next year when it opens a new location in Chicago.

The Hyde Park restaurant, scheduled to open late spring or early summer, will serve Jolly Pumpkin Artisan Ales and other products under the Northern United Brewing Company brand like North Peak Brewing, Nomad Cider, Civilized Spirit and Bonafide Wines.

“We’re excited to expand our restaurants outside of Michigan,” NUBC partner Ron Jeffries said in a press release. “Hyde Park is the perfect location for us, the vibrant neighborhood shares an eclectic vibe with that of our company and Chicago’s craft beer scene parallels some of the greatest in the US.”

The 5,800-square-foot bar and restaurant will be in Harper Court on the ground level of a 12-story University of Chicago office tower. This will be the fourth Jolly Pumpkin restaurant. The sour beer makers also have eateries in Traverse City, Ann Arbor and, most recently, Midtown Detroit.
