Colder temperatures on the way for Halloween

Metro Detroiters were treated to a beautiful Sunday with sunny skies and temperatures in the mid-60s, but the work week will be another story.

High daytime temperatures are expected to drop to the lower 50s Monday and for much of the rest of the week. Sunday night it was expected to drop into the lower 40s and there could be a few light showers, said Alex Manion, a National Weather Service meteorologist.

“Chances are dwindling for 60s,” Manion said. “We have a weak low pressure system bringing along a cold front with it.”

Monday will be dry. The next chance at rain could be Wednesday or Thursday.
