Herbstreit blasts Lewan as a 'fraud, fake tough guy'

Titans offensive tackle Taylor Lewan was called for a costly, boneheaded penalty late in the Titans-Raiders game on Sunday in Tennessee, and ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit blasted the former Wolverine for it.

Trailing 17-10 in the final minute of the game, the Titans were driving in Oakland territory when quarterback Marcus Mariota completed a 19-yard pass over the middle to receiver Tajae Sharpe.

As Sharpe was fighting for extra yardage toward the end of the play, Lewan came barreling in after the whistle was blown and flew into the pile. Lewan was flagged for unnecessary roughness, pushing the Titans back from a first-and-goal situation at the Raiders' 3-yard line to a first-and-10 at the 18.

Lewan lingered on the ground after the play and had to come off due to concerns over a possible concussion.

Herbstreit, a college football analyst and former Ohio State Buckeye, tweeted at Lewan: "You're an absolute fraud bro!! #FakeToughGuy #Loafer #TryToHustle #ISeeYouWalkingOffTheField #Fraud #Pathetic"

The Titans failed to score on the drive and turned the ball over on downs with under 15 seconds left in the 17-10 loss.
