Cowherd: Stop overreacting to UM losing recruits

Fox broadcaster Colin Cowherd says everybody is overreacting to Michigan losing three football commitments in two days.

"First of all, pump the breaks," Cowherd said on The Herd on Wednesday.  "Leonard Taylor is a 2018 recruit. He's not going to sign a letter of intent for a year and a half. These are kids. They're 17-year-old and 18-year-old kids. They change their minds constantly. I can take my kids to a restaurant. They change their ideas for dinner four times in five minutes. They're kids.

"Secondly, the media is lazy. They jump onto stuff that's easy. I guarantee you. One of the reasons this is a story is because college football people don't want to cover all the teams. They want to cover five or six or seven teams and Michigan is now one of those teams. The truth is Brady Hoke probably lost all sorts of recruits but nobody cared.

"Somebody asked me on one of my first days on the air here, 'How long would it take for Jim Harbaugh to work?' I said three years. Who is going to get bad? Ohio State isn't going to get bad? Alabama isn't going to get bad? Oklahoma isn't going to get bad? Who's leaving the top 10?

"The bottom line is the guy has massively overachieved. He came within two plays last year of winning 10 games. He only got smoked once against a really good Ohio Sate team."
