Michigan and Michigan State are represented on the Big Ten football preseason honors list released Monday morning in advance of the two-day media days.

Michigan linebacker/defensive back Jabrill Peppers and Michigan State defensive lineman Malik McDowell were two of five players named for the East Division.

Iowa’s Desmond King (Detroit East English Village), the reigning Big Ten defensive back of the year, headlines the West Division selections.

It was the first Big Ten preseason honors for Peppers, McDowell and King. Peppers and King were both first-team All-Conference picks last year and McDowell was a second-team selection.
