A new book by the Michigan History Project, "Wolverine: A Photographic History of Michigan Football," includes more than 1,000 images from the early days of the program to the present day.

The images used in the book came from the archives of The Detroit News, the Ann Arbor News, the Bentley Historical Library and other sources.

The 200-page book ($49.95) also includes an in-depth look at five significant seasons in UM football history -- 1925, 1947, 1969, 1997 and 2011.

The foreword was written by former Michigan star quarterback Denard Robinson. The book is available at Amazon, the M Den, Nicola's, Schuler, Literati, Von Maur, and other locations.
