A memorial service for Chad Carr, who died Monday at age 5 after a 15-month battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, will take place this Sunday at the Saline High School Performing Arts Center.

There will be an open visitation from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of Chad's life from 2-3 pm.

Both events are open to the public, but the family respectfully asks that no cameras be present during the open visitation.

Attendees are asked to wear Chad's favorite color of orange and, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ChadTough Foundation.

Chad was the youngest of Tammi and Jason Carr's three sons, and the grandson of former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr and Tom Curtis, the Michigan All-American defensive back.

The Carr family lives in Saline.
