Jay Leno to host Forgotten Harvest comedy night

Former “Tonight Show” host Jay Leno will be the featured performer at a fundrasier for Forgotten Harvest, one of the nation’s largest food rescue organizations.

Tickets for the 24th Annual Comedy Night at the Fox Theatre go on sale Friday and are priced at $25, $49, $85 and $150. The event will be at 8 p.m. May 7, the organization announced Tuesday.

“Comedy Night continues to be our biggest fundraising events of the year,” Forgotten Harvest CEO Kirk Mayes said in a release. “We’re sure it will be an evening filled with laughs while supporting thousands of families in need right here in metro Detroit.”

Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships will benefit Forgotten Harvest’s network of more than 280 agencies in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties that provide fresh food options to Metro Detroiters in need.

Tickets will be are available at OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre Box Office, Joe Louis Arena Box Office, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge), at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com.

Leno served as the host of “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” from 1992 until 2014. He is also a car buff, stand-up comic and children’s book author.
