Cuddly polar bear cub gains fame, name; watch her grow

A female polar bear cub being hand-raised by the Columbus Zoo after her mother stopped caring for her is charming the Internet with her cuteness: feeding, napping, teething, and especially cuddling with her stuffed animals.

The baby bear was one of two born on Nov. 6, 2015. Her twin died shortly after birth.

After putting name ideas to an online vote that drew participants from 115 countries, the zoo today announced that her name will be Nora - a combination of her parents’ names, Nanuq and Aurora.
