Suspect arrested in Garden City armed robbery

Police arrested a woman in an armed robbery of a Garden City gas station this week.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident in Inkster early on Thanksgiving, police said. An arraignment was pending. Other details were not released Thursday night.

Authorities had sought tips from the public to find a person of interest who was captured on video robbing the Shell location in the 100 block of Middle Belt on Wednesday.

Video surveillance of the incident shared in media broadcast reports appeared to show the woman holding a gun at an employee’s back.
