Stones will roll into Comerica Park July 8
The teaser billboards were a clue, and now we know: The Rolling Stones will play Comerica Park July 8 in a “Zip Code” tour announced Tuesday as part of a 15-city North American stadium tour.
The tour kicks off in San Diego on May 24 at Petco Park, and stops in Columbus, Minneapolis, Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Raleigh, N.C., and Indianapolis before heading for the Motor City.
After Detroit, the venerable British band plays Buffalo, N.Y., and then finishes in Quebec July 15 at Le Festival D’Ete.
The tour comes on the heels of a remastered “Sticky Fingers” album release May 20.
“We are excited to be back in North America playing stadiums this summer,” Mick Jagger said in a statement released by the band.
Keith Richards added: “We love being out on the road and it is great to come back to North America.”
Tickets for all shows go on sale April 13. For ticket information, go to rollingstones.com.
