Madonna's "Rebel Heart" will beat in Detroit.

The homegrown superstar will play Joe Louis Arena on Oct. 1 as part of her 35-city "Rebel Heart" tour, promoters announced early Monday. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. March 23; online sales include a digital download of an expanded version of Madonna's new album "Rebel Heart." Members of Madonna's fan club, Icon, will receive access to a pre-sale, as will Citi card holders. Ticket prices are TBA.

Madonna's "Rebel Heart" outing kicks off Aug. 29 in Miami and hits 21 North American cities before heading to Europe, where it wraps Dec. 20. The Detroit date falls smack in the middle of the North American run, and is book ended by shows in Chicago (Sept. 28) and Atlantic City (Oct. 3).

The "Rebel Heart" tour is Madonna's third consecutive tour to visit Detroit. Her MDNA Tour played Joe Louis in Nov. 2012, while her Sticky & Sweet Tour visited Ford Field in Nov. 2008. Madonna skipped her hometown during 2006's Confessions outing and 2004's Re-Invention Tour.

Madonna's latest album, "Rebel Heart," hits stores March 6. Following an early leak of the album in December, Madonna released six songs from it just before Christmas. Three more songs were released to digital outlets last month.

During a performance of the album's first single "Living for Love" at last week's Brit Awards, Madonna suffered a scary on-stage fall, but she got up and finished her performance.
